Sorry Joe, just saw this. Superb amp. 86 pound 300b amp. Terrific separation, tight bass (incredibly so for a 300b), sweet smooth top end, big soundstage, incredible 300b SET vocals. Quiet!!!

I’ve been texting Joe all weekend. I can’t believe this freaking amp. When it first came out, it was $30,000 and I thought that was madness for a stereo 300b SET amp. Now that Luxman has their own distribution, it’s come down in price, but still close to $22K. I sold my Triode amps (after almost 4 years) and decided to give this a try. Holy crapola, what an amp. It’s as close to perfect as I’ve heard on my AG’s. Quiet, sweet, great separation, terrific bass (something I didn’t know a 300b SET was capable of), big soundstage, addictive vocals that are perfect. I’m having a hard time finding fault. Ok, it’s only 8 watts, weights 86 pounds (WTF is in this thing?) and the cost is high. But boy oh boy, I’ve heard no better in my system.

Mike-I’m sure the majority of the weight is coming from the power transformer and output transformers which is a good sign.
