Hello,

Does anyone know if the 509x has a class A bias and at how many watts it leaves class A and goes to class A/B. Thanks.

I don't remember where I read this but it was said to be Class A at first 3W

I have the 590AXII. Class genuine class A specs are 30W (8Ω), 60w (4Ω). Those are genuine Class A specs. The amp however has been tested to over 150W as it leaves the honest Class A and goes into class A/B. Plenty of power for most applications. If your situation requires more power than that, perhaps the 509 really would be a better choice.

As long as your speakers, room and listening preferences fall within the generous comfort zone and operational envelope of the 590, it is a very sweet integrated. https://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2018...ii-integrated-amplifier-review-by-steve-huff/

I called the U.S. distributor and asked this question a few weeks ago. IIRC, he said about 8 to 10 watts in Class A. Less for the 507 and less again for the 505 (maybe 2 or 3 watts).
