I'm thinking about changing the original cable with a Cryo Silver Reference from Revelation Audio Labs.
They offer the possibility of putting 8-pin connectors.
What I do not know is whether any cable with an 8-pin connector would work, or that the Lumin cable has some special feature in the wiring of the pins?

I looked into that for my S1 a couple of years ago, and he couldn't find the correct connectors for the cable. Has he found them now? If so I might get one since his umbilical worked wonders on my XP-20.

I have sent mail to Audio Revelation since they say they can put an 8 pin connector. I am waiting for an answer.

I had a similar exchange about 7-8 months back. I pointed him in the right direction (manufacturer wise). I have not checked back. I bought his Cat8+ cables to use with my U1

The connector we use is not physically compatible with the more common types of connectors that look similar.

For those who purchase or custom make a replacement cable, please touch the cable and the connectors when the cable is used for playing music for some time, and see if they're abnormally hot. We came across an aftermarket cable that exhibited this issue.
