Mike...Calloway here..i went to the Lumin app on my iPad tonight to log into Tidal and when hit the Tidal icon i got a box that stated something like 'do you want your music sent through the cloud'..yes /no..i had never seen that before so i hit 'no'..i then started creating a playlist from the albums i had already loaded through Roon ...via Tidal...and when i hit play the first track played but the Tidal screen clicked off and went back to my start-up iPad page..i then hit the Lumin app again to restore the app and hit the Tidal icon again and it immediately kicked me out again..back to the beginning iPad screen ..and continued to not let me into Tidal via the Lumin app...i have tried everything i can think of as to why it is doing that ..my guess is it has something to do with my 'no' answer to the initial prompt of yes/no to the iCloud question...any thoughts on what to do to rectify the problem..?..thanks..dave
 
Dave, that's bizarre. I've never seen that. Hopefully the folks from Lumin will chime in here.

Dave, I can tell you what it is. I have been using my Lumin APP on the 6.0.1 update. I just this morning a few minutes ago updated to 6.0.2 and bingo there is the

iCloud is Available
Automatically sync playlist to iCloud ?

NO YES


I hit NO, Tidal still functions and so does the Lumin. I don't have ROON running.

I turned off iCloud in my settings on my IPAD and accessed Lumin, no message.
 
Chris..i just got up and tried the Lumin app again and i still cannot access Tidal through the app.it keeps kicking me out.I am running the 7.03 firmware. When you stated that you 'don't have Roon running' did you mean that it won't work now or you don't have it turned on..?.Dave

I have Roon on another system not associated with my Lumin. Did you go into settings on your ipad and turn iCloud Drive OFF ??

I agree weird.

So you can turn off the icloud drive and reboot your Ipad and it still brings that message up when you access Lumin ?

I stream all the time with my Lumin , but I do not have my Lumin working with a Roon and Tidal configuration. Its just Lumin and Tidal and its streaming away as a write this.

Dave was it working ok before the update to the Lumin app 6.0.2 ?

I found that on my iPhone (I have no iPad) after the 6.0.2 update that clicking the Tidal icon in the Lumin app would do the same, start then stop and kick you out. Restarting the Lumin app worked at first, then not. I then rebooted the phone and it worked again for a couple days. Last night it did the same thing so another reboot fixed it for now.

Try restarting your iPad (shut down and power up) and report back.

I think the 6.0.2 update is a little buggy with Tidal for some reason?

Got to agree on a little buggy. Why would Lumin bring up the iCloud question and what does the android person get with their Lumin app ?

So even with your iCloud Drive turned off and you clicked YES it works, man that makes no sense at all.

Hopefully Lumin who checks in views this thread and can help us out.
 
Chris..i did turn it back on before i saw the new no/yes box..i then choose 'yes' and it now works...so ..lesson learned..don't choose 'no'..Dave

Back up a step.....can you login to your tidal account straight from an internet browser?.....not from inside the Lumin app?
