Is there any indication that Lumin will create a Version 2 of the X1. or a completely new top model..?

I'm sure there will be a future upgraded model. The question is when? And can the Lumin X1 be upgraded?

Being retired I am on the frugal side of spending, but if Lumin comes out with something better than the X1 then I will buy it. Assuming the improvements are audible and not functional or cosmetic. Then again, it will be difficult to improve on the X1.

I don’t think so any time soon.

Would love to see them branch beyond Sabre for a Statement piece. Maybe ladder DAC? Something new? AKM might not happen anytime soon since the factory burned down. How about a power supply in the same chassis as the main unit, but with two PSU’s - one for the digital section, one for the analog section?

And, digital inputs!

X1 will remain to be our flagship and not to be superceded anytime soon.

Good to know Peter as i am about to pull the trigger very soon , or late as i have been saving for this for a long time.... 1 or 2 weeks i will place my order with my local dealer , and nice to know that there is not a new one around the corner.

Go for it! Very happy with my X1. And it replaces my previous high end server and DAC. And couldn’t be happier with the X1 SQ and the money saved.

Knowing what you had, and having heard one part of it, that’s quite an endorsement [emoji6]

Well i just placed my order for a Lumin X1 in black this Wednesday 21st. April , so now the waiting time , , almost like l like a child waiting for the Christmas :)
And can't wait to hear how much better it is compared to my T1 that has served me very very well , and still performs very good for the money i paid for it some years back.
I will use Nordost Frey 2 Power cord and Nordost Heimdall ethernet cable to feed it in the beginning , but when its burned in and i have a good sense on what it does i plan to try out sfp connection also..
And from start i also plan on giving Qobuz a 1 month trial and see what that can compared to Tidal , we only very recently got Qobuz here in Denmark.

Flemming - Congratulations! The X1 is a terrific music server: musical, good looking, well built, easy to setup and use with outstanding support from Peter and the Lumin team.

wow flemming, very excited for you!!
how long do you have to wait for?

Thanks a lot , and my dealer told me it usually takes 2 weeks with shipping , and then he said 2-3- weeks ....but now i have waited for almost 2,5 years for this to happen its that long time since i had it on loan ( November 2018 ) , and i read my notes i made when having it here , i was amazed on how much better it was. And at that time i was not using Nordost Frey 2 Powercord for my Accuphase E-470 , and only used the provided cord that comes with the Lumin x1. So am exited :)

Congrats Fleming. The X1 is my favorite component in my system! It’s heads and tails over and better than the D1 I had and so DYNAMIC! Enjoy. You’re going to love it.

So it finally happened, got LUMIN X1 delivered yesterday afternoon ( Friday ) unpacked it and installed it on my rack. Straight out of the box , waouu it’s amazing. Super black background, so easy to hear what is going on on the stage or room where it was recorded. Intonations in the voice of the performer gives songs a hole new dimension. Bass is simply amazing. Am very happy:)
When I figure out how to add a photo I will do so
