Lumin U2 Mini

I just got a U2 Mini and I'm trying to use Tidal Connect and can't seem to get it connected. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also anyway of getting the app to run on a Windows laptop

- Disable Windows Firewall and relaunch Tidal app
- If it still does not see the Lumin hardware, in Lumin app (on iOS or Android), set Tidal Connect to Off, wait for a few seconds, then turn it on again
- Also try Tidal app on iOS and Android. On iOS you need to grant it "Local Network" permission. On Android you need to force stop it and relaunch it everytime.
- If Lumin app does not see the U2 Mini, and Tidal app on all platforms also do not see the U2 Mini, state your brand/model of router, WiFi access points, network switches, and how everything are connected together

Thanks. One other question, I'm still trying to figure out the best way to control the Mini. I have a Samsung phone, just bought a Galaxy tablet and currently trying out Roon on my laptop because I haven't been able to get Tidal connect to work off my laptop. I am also thinking maybe iPad so back to my question. Does the Lumin app appear on all these devices the same way or are they laid out differently due to what they are, Ie iPad, Android phone, Android tablet etc...

Disabling the fire wall doesn't fix the problem. Tidal connect works from my phone but not my laptop. There is supposed to be an I con next to the volume icon in the lower portion of the picture I posted.

They are as similar as possible, but the tablet has more room, so we put playlist and browse side-by-side. On phone you have to swipe to go from one to the other.
iOS and Android are as similar as we can make them.
There are screenshots here to illustrate the differences:
Introduction to the LUMIN App

If I were to hypothesize, from what I've read so far, this seems to be a Tidal Connect-based failure mode, and not a Lumin one.

I tested Tidal Windows app 2.36.2.54 on Windows 10 Pro 21H1. It can see and Tidal Connect to Lumin, and play successfully.

Uninstall Tidal app and reinstall it.

Make sure all firewall and internet security are turned off. Windows network set to private instead of public. Power cycle the whole network of devices starting from the router. If Tidal app does not see Lumin, toggle Tidal Connect on/off in Lumin app again.

We have lift off. All I had to do was uninstall and reinstall the Tidal app. All security was left on. Thanks.

In my opinion all that for not so good sound quality. The Tidal connect app is great for interface but I vote it 3rd in what I have tried. In order of best to worst in SQ is
1. Lumin app
2. Roon
3. Tidal connect app.

So it looks like I have no choice but to use my phone or buy a tablet. I cast my vote for Lumin to come out with a windows app for us older folks that need a larger screen.
