Lumin U1MINI

Anyone using the volume control on the app to go directly to their amps, either Lumin>amp or Lumin>dac>amp.

I personally would never risk going full volume to an amplifier with just an accidental swipe of a tiny volume control slider on a touchscreen. Regardless of how good it sounded.

in addition to digital output via s/pdif, aes or usb... anyone know if the u1-mini can also stream over a LAN to a dac w/ a network renderer?

The U1 (MINI) is a network renderer, and I don't see how it can be used with another network renderer together. You're probably looking for something like a Roon Core.

yes, but did not know if the lumin app in combination w/ the u1-mini could provide this functionality.

thanks for the answer and clarification!

2 questions regarding the Mini. Will the Mini be able to stream Qobuz?. Can a Mini be connected via a XLR Y cable to a Bryston BP 25 pre amp?

You can input your credentials for Qobuz and Tidal and stream right from the app.

Qobuz: Yes - this is natively supported.

As for the connections, if your preamp is analog and does not contain a DAC, you need a Lumin player with built-in DAC such as Lumin D2 / T2 / S1 / X1. These models offer analog XLR and RCA outputs - I think these are appropriate for your connection requirement.

You can choose U1 MINI if you want to use your existing DAC, or a DAC built-in to a digital preamp. It only has digital outputs such as AES / USB / BNC coaxial / RCA coaxial / toslink.

Hello
I'm new to this site and I have some questions for you.
1. Is there a Lumin network streamer Wireless ac ?
I have a pair of active speakers to which I want to connect a Lumin streamer, but I would like this streamer to have wireless ac and bluetooth.
2. Where can I buy a Lumin in Europe?
Thank you

1. No - Lumin does not have wireless built-in, therefore it requires a network cable connection, although some users have used a wireless Ethernet adapter successfully. Lumin does not support Bluetooth.

2. Please refer to the distributor/dealer list here:

Thank you.
Has anyone used here Lumin U1 Mini with a wireless Ethernet adapter?
If so, then I will definitely buy a Lumin U 1 Mini
Thank you for the answers

I used TP Link wireless adapter with a D1 for over a year and it worked great. As usual it is going to depend on how far away from your router the adapter is going to be as to signal strength.

This device is a Wifi Extender. I do not understand how you connected Lumin D1 to this wifi extender...

The Lumin U1 Mini is the best transporter in the world. That is a fact. It's still curious, why it's not wireless, especially it's made primarily for streaming services...very strange...All its competitors have this facility ....
