Here's what I _think_ should be done, but I have not verified it:
1. Make sure your Lumin is running Firmware 8 or later.
2. Set up Roon Core in your computer and install Roon app(s) to your iPad for your local / network music library and Tidal access. If you have not signed up to Roon yet, here's a 30-day Roon trial:

3. In Roon Audio Setup, find and enable Lumin. In Roon app, play some music from your library and Tidal to Lumin and check that the Tidal-Roon-Lumin setup is working.
4. Use Acourate to create a convolution filter file. (Since Acourate only runs on Windows, you'll need to boot your Mac to Windows to create it, then boot it back to OS X if that's your normal setup.)

5. In Roon Core (not Roon app), setup DSP Engine, enable headroom management and load the convolution filter file you just created:

6. Turn down the volume in your preamp to test your convolution setup when using Roon app to play music files. Watch that the Roon playback indicator does not light up RED that indicates clipping at all times for all music you tested. Turn the volume back to normal only after you're confident your Roon DSP setup is completely correct.
7. In Room app signal path, watching the processing speed. If it ever drops below 1.3, you need to buy a new powerful computer with desktop Core i5 or i7.
