Lumin t2 vs lumin u1 mini for combining hegel h390

Hi all,

I have a hegel h390 amplifier which I like a lot. It has a fairly good internal dac and streamer. The hegel is not yet roon ready yet and I can buy a lumin t2 with a discount.
How will the lumin t2 pair with the hegel? Will this lumin 2 will be a good upgrade to my internal dac/streamer? Or should I save money and go for a u1 mini or last option wait until hegel is roonready?

I always recommend using a Lumin with analog output, instead of the built-in DAC of an integrated amp (or even AV receiver). So I expect the T2 to sound great with yours, and you can use Roon to upsample to DSD512 for playback if you like, which is not possible if you use U1 MINI or rely on H390 internal DAC only.

I know there are satisfied Lumin users with Hegel amps. There was also a 6moons review of Lumin D1 that was positive compared to a Hegel in that era.

I am curious about your experience with T2 and H390, is it really a big jump compared to day and streamer of h390, is the difference easily audible aside from soundstage and imaging? Is it a difference that you can really notice walking into a room off axis?I use H390 with VA Mozart with is phenomenal mix, listen mostry to Classical , Jazz and simple music
