My friend's T2 will not respond to any commands. His dealer is requesting that he send the unit back for a "reset." His explanation is that something went wrong during the software or firmware update process.

Is this a possible explanation? Can't anything be done remotely so he doesn't have to ship the unit?
 
Firstly, if it is using a third party LPS, please restore to the factory SMPS.

He can try doing a firmware reflash. I'll send you the procedure in PM.
