Very cool. Please let us know what your initial impressions are, Mike.

BTW, I'm getting one in for review in TAS after the Aurender N20 review.

Will do. We are letting it run in over the holidays before sitting down for a good listen. Really like the remote and the clean look. The size works too. We are actually going to use it with the MSB 205 monos that are arriving soon. All in the Shunyata room in the store.

This was the Lumin piece I was looking for during the summer when I decided to purchase the Grimm mu1. I would have purchased this piece.

Do the analog inputs stay in the analog domain or is there a conversion to digital? I am interested in hearing how this stacks up to the Esoteric N-05XD. I could eliminate a lot of boxes with one of these solutions. Hmmmmmm…

It stays in the analog domain as far as I know. Peter?

Analog inputs are converted to digital, because we believe the benefits of Leedh Processing Volume over a traditional analog volume control at this price point outweighs the impact from digital conversion.

The success of Leedh Processing Volume in many customer systems proved this: usual means to do reasonably priced analog volume control can cause great damage to SQ. In one customer feedback he found the Leedh Processing Volume to be better than his $10K preamp.

Appears like Lumin is moving away from the brushed finish to a bead blasted finish all the way around?

I also noticed that my newest X1 came triple boxed and the power umbilical has a plastic sheath. Little progressive changes.

I’m curious about the future X1 replacement. It better be even better audio performance and not just streaming functionality.

When i tried the Leedh processing from the X1 over the pre-amp section in my Accuphase E-470 i was amazed what that brought so now i am only using the Amp section of the Accuphase and no way i will use the pre-amp in it again.

Thank, Mike. I'll post my initial observations once it arrives. My plan is to finish the Aurender N20 review this holiday period, preferably by the weekend; then get it shipped back to the distributor.

The N20 is superb!

Thanks for the information Peter. I’m a bit surprised about the analog to digital conversion but I will let my ears make the sound judgement. Look forward to listening to the P1.

Bud - Realizing that this is a Lumin thread, I would suggest you give the Esoteric N-01XD a listen. Yes, it’s more $ than the X1 but in my system, as good as the X1 is, the N-01XD exceeded the musical presentation and features of the Lumin (and I’ve been a consistent customer and supporter of Lumin products).

Yes, it sure is. Listening to it right now, as a matter of fact. With the Constellation Inspiration integrated and the Holo May DAC.

I was Aurender dealer #4 in the nation and I’ve been waving the flag ever since. Like Lumin and Esoteric and MSB, they do a fabulous job with digital.
