It's been a few months and your dealer/Lumin distributor still isn't making the time to walk you through your issues?! I'd make him eat the f***ing thing. How can he be a distributor and not have a clue on how to get it to work in your system? It isn't rocket science (I of course watched an IT guy set up mine however :-/).

I had ALOT more network issues with my Naim NDX than I had with my Lumin.

Since it's only you (at least that I know of) with this problem it is obviously a defective unit or you're set up incorrectly. Stop crying about it and make your dealer replace the unit. It's simple. I personally wouldn't care if he was on his death bed.

Yes and if there's nothing wrong with it, you ARE set up incorrectly. But you continue to insist that the Lumin is a bum product and/or undesirable because YOU cannot get it to work. You complain that your distributor can't help you but since he is going through personal issues you'll give him a pass and wait rather than press the issue.

IMO, you only have yourself to blame since you won't take the necessary corrective measures. If being human equates to being taken and letting it go...yes it doesn't define who I am.

Sounds like the Lumin is OK. Did you map your NAS into your OS? What brand is your NAS (Still the Seagate)? and is your NAS loaded with Java and Minimserver?
 
Geoffery, Why would you buy from a distributor? Why not a retailer as posted at Lumin's purchase page site? Distributors only help end users when end users demand it. I know because I distribute integrated amps, headphones and headphone amplifiers.

Arizona and sure is smoky today from Sedona fire and I've only got part of one of my lungs from heavy smoking as young man. Hard to catch a breath when air quality is bad. Take my bitches here about Lumin with big grain of salt. I've been shooting-off before knowing facts. I'm sure family issues involving Alzheimer's and recent past loss of loved ones has made me trigger happy to look to put blame on others when it's really just stupidity and frustration on my part (v:

Geoffrey, you are one of us. I just wish I was closer so I could try and help. I love my Lumin, and wish we could get yours working !
