Lumin M1 Review

Thank you. It is better than AirPlay. And the machine is getting better by the hour. Now I'm wondering what are appropriate speakers to pair it with.

I found this from Stereophile:

The figure above shows that the speaker rated at nominal 8 ohm measures down to roughly 4 ohm (3.2 ohm from web site), which M1 is capable of (100W @ 4ohm, 60W @ 8ohm). The LS50 requires a 25W-100W amplifier. In terms of figures only I guess they match.

The current US price (per May 2016 price list) for the M1 is $2,300.

Lumin M1 will be available in black. The volume knob in black looks better than in silver.
 
No, not directly supported. However, for 2 channel setup you don't need line level subwoofer output if you use a high level input such as the one found in REL subwoofer (that I use). That's the optimal input for REL subwoofer anyway.

Does the M1 fully render MQA tracks via TIDAL, including Studio Authentication identification?
 
Yes, M1 is MQA compliant and fully decode / render MQA, including MQA Studio authentication.
