Lumin Forum?

Absolutely. And I happily paid for it. They have major problems here in the US. I’ll wait and see how Nelson and Co. address it.
Don’t know the whole story. But I am sure they will fix it. They just have to find the right partner. Nobody can afford to miss US market.

I am really sorry about this development. While I do consult other Lumin forum sites, I found the Lumin forum here the most helpful for my purposes. Three years ago it really helped me transition from Auralic (with which I had constant technical and other issues) to Lumin. The posts by popular members on this forum lead me to purchase a Lumin P1, which, in return, I gushed about on this forum. And like so many others, Wklie has helped me on several occasions.

I have been checking the Lumin forum on audioshark regularly for several years now, and recently was hoping to hear some news about the new P2. While on a recent work trip to Germany, I googled the site as usual, only to come across "Oops! We ran into some problems". My first thought was that it might have something to do with the foreign internet. Sadly no. Whatever the issues are, I sincerely hope they get worked out.

Well, they know what to do to restore the forum. They’ve so far done nothing. Lumin HK has not only an obligation but a responsibility to do what’s right. The ball is in their court.

Every company faces issues. How they handle it defines them as either crappy or great.

Unfortunately so far Lumin isn't rising to the 'great' side of this.

That is correct. On the back end they were hosting files and uploading firmware/drivers to users. Guess who paid for that?

Hi Mike,

I don't who "they" refers (and, of course, I certainly don't know what's really going on) but wklie has made the following comment on Audiophile Style:

I (Peter Lie) NEVER uploaded any firmware / drivers to ANY forum. When necessary, I only gave users URL links back to Lumin web server and Cloudflare cache paid for by Lumin.

along with some additional comments.

As an audio enthusiast and Lumin fan, and someone who enjoys audioshark, I sure hope these differences can be worked out. I imagine there are others like me who feel similarly. But I'm definitely staying out of things for now.

Thanks.

That’s not correct. There were files sent through messages. We CANNOT read private messages, but we can see the size of attachments taking up DM space on the server. But this is not relevant and water under the bridge. I provided them a FREE and known support platform for over a decade. The world of Lumin owners knew where to go and there is a library of over 1000 threads of support info. In return, I never asked for a penny. I was happy to do it. I really like the good folks at Lumin HK and know they will do what needs to be done and in return, everything will be restored.
