Hong Kong AV Show 2021

Lumin X1 directly connected to a pair of Lumin (class AB) AMP in bridge mode driving Magico S3 Mk II. No preamp is used as we use Leedh Processing Volume in X1 instead.

Network configuration is: Android phone with 21Mbps 4G SIM card USB tether -> Asus WiFi router -> Cisco SG112-24-NA switch - SFP module → Corning single mode fiber → SFP module - Lumin X1

To my surprise, Qobuz 24/192, Tidal MQA, and Spotify all streamed without problem, even with all those crowded visitors and exhibitors in the same area competing for the 4G station bandwidth.

Fun fact: a visitor is really excited about the vinyl he purchased from a nearby booth, brought those vinyl to our booth and asked if we could play those vinyl.

(In case anybody is wondering why we can have an audio show, we have 0 local COVID cases here, and all exhibitor staff have to be either fully vaccinated or have negative COVID PCR test.)

Beautiful system!

Were the SPF modules implemented to make sure there is galvanic isolation between the network devices and the network player?

Damn, I didn't even realise this was on, I've not seen any advertising about it. Has it finished yet, or do I still have time to get there?

Thanks Peter, is there a date yet for next year's show. Or do you have a mailing list I can subscribe to?

The sound at the Lumin room was very nice [emoji106]

Below were people listening to a pair of Magico A5. Standing room only.

Hi jeffhk. There is an email list signup form at the bottom of our homepage LUMIN - The Audiophile Network Music Player Family we send one every month or two when we have news to share.
However, as the last few hi-fi shows have been cancelled at the last minute we didn't advertise this one much - only on Facebook, our homepage and a couple of HK forums this time.
Sorry to have missed you this time!
If you use Facebook, it's worth following us on there as it's probably the easiest way for us to make announcements.
