Lumin app no album covers in Song Grouping View

I notice, I think since upgrading iPhone to IOS17, that when opening the Lumin app the following always happens:
1. all saved album art in the app disappears from screen
and
2. that the album art repairs itself (partly) in 3-5 min waiting time.

The above happens in Song Grouping View and in Heading View. When switching to Artwork View this triggers the reloading of the visual items during scrolling the album list.

Lumin app 8.8.4
IOS 17.0.2
Minimserver database

@wklie any idea?

I recall that before (prev app version or under IOS16?) the app saved the song/album lists including artwork, and currently (current 8.8.4 app under IOS17) it seems that the app saves the song/album lists but now excluding artwork i.e. seems to take the images from the server every time again?

tested some more.

old(er) iPhone SE 2nd gen IOS16.6 app 8.8.4 same issue
other iPhone with IOS17 factory reset, then app 8.8.4 same issue.
Restarted server, network etc etc etc and same issue.

It is noted each time the app is closed then reopened the spinning wheel icon (db update) appears immediately after launching and you'll see the album art coming up A-Z by album title. Also when app is left open when leaving the app in the background or behind the lock screen the album art goes missing.
and when putting app in focus again the icons are rebuilt again.
Since on 2 iPhones I do not think it's an IOS issue or a phone issue.

This happens when the internal Lumïn app db isn’t yet updated.
You must leave the app on (not in background) to let the internal db update
.
… it can take up to 15’ (in my case with my library) to complete the update

Same here. I'd leave the app open 10-15 minutes to have it process all updates. To be sure I leave the app in focus for 25 minutes once more.

Then, if the database was updated according above, when app is put to background, and is then brought back in focus, the app will take 5 seconds, after which the spinning wheel icon will show, indicating its doing (once more but why) another database update. This "update2" action will remove all artwork icons from the Song Grouping View itemised list and slowly -say in 5 minutes- build the icons again.

This does not seem to affect Artwork View but only ong Grouping View and Heading View. You can make it visible by switching tabs (Album, Genre, Last Modified) during the update and having one of them set to either Song Grouping View or Header View.

Summary: app works as expected when app is in focus always and screen is not locked.
Issue appears after: locking screen (a), or putting app to background (b), or closing app (c).

Ad a. when app was open and screen was locked, then unlocked, the app takes 5 seconds then starts updating its library therewith all album art goes to blank in Song Grouping View and in Heading View
Ad b. when app was put to background and then was put back in focus, the app takes 5 seconds then starts updating its library therewith all album art goes to blank in Song Grouping View and in Heading View
Ad c. when app was closed then reopened, the app takes 5 seconds then starts updating its library therewith all album art goes to blank in Song Grouping View and in Heading View

Since I have this issue for two weeks or so, and app v 8.8.4 was released two weeks back, could this be an auto update that is programmed in the latest app that causes this?

@Lumin team, please suggest/fix?

v 9.0.0 works Ok. Thanks so much!

For my curiosity, why is there in the last few versions an update icon shown when you open the app?
