Lumin and the folders

a question, but if I upsampling to DSD the Lumin out double DSD (x128)?
because i using an external DAC, (totaldac, which accepts only dsd x64) gives me an error it looks all pink noise !!!!

You are using the output of the Lumin into your TotalDac? Which output? The problem is likely that the output won't pass DSD. You may want to trade out for the new Lumin U1.

Mike,
by coaxial bnc to rca the dsd native it's sound great and works properly, the totaldac d1 six accept the file original dsf or dff, but if i try to upsampling any others pcm files to DSD the output by totaldac is only noise.........

...I thought the streamer component of S1 was better than system U1, correct?!

Have you turned on the "DoP" option in Lumin settings? This is required if you want to use the BNC output of Lumin for sending DSD over PCM to your DAC. DSD64 only.

yes sure !!! by DoP the Totaldac works incredible sound thanks the S1 !!!
the problem is only when i upsampling the pcm file to DSD.. (my doubt was that S1, in DSD, came out to x128, (totaldac not read dsd x128))
an additional note:
quality as streamer Lumin S1 is amazing and greater than Aurender N10 (i have also an N10) !!!
obviously the Lumin S1 is also excellent as dac, but now I prefer to use only the part streamer.
I'm not sure that U1 is greater than S1 as streamer!?

S1 is capable of playing DSD128 and upsampling PCM to DSD64, but it's not capable of upsampling PCM to DSD128.

Please make sure the PCM file you're upsampling is 44.1kHz, not 48kHz or 96kHz. The DSD upsampled from 44.1kHz should show up in the exact same format as a usual DSD64 file. The DSD upsampled from 48kHz or 96kHz, however, is in a special format of DSD64+ 3.072MHz instead of the normal DSD64 2.822MHz.

That's good to know! :D

well wklie,
it is now explained the mysterious reason !!!

we should be understand how it works (Totaldac uses precise resistor instead of a single chip) but how to realize the electrically converting PCM and also DSD ??? !!!
or, if we understand the DSD exists so pure otherwise Totaldac inside makes a further conversion into pcm ... ??!

the N10 is on the sales way... :D
