Lumin 2000 song limit

Peter, why the limit? I am almost at 2000 songs with one genre of music, and I would like to keep adding to the same playlist. Any chance this can be increased, or is it some technical issue with the chip being used? Thanks.

I had this same issue but Lumin didn't seem to see the need. One more reason why I have embraced Roon, although there are many other benefits. I can still fall back to the Lumin app and my old playlists, but Roon brings so much more I haven't used the Lumin app in a long time.
 
Extending it will slow things down unreasonably due to the way OpenHome works.

This is what allows the use of non-Lumin app (e.g. Linn Kazoo, Bubble DS Next, etc.) to control Lumin playback, providing UI alternatives as well as to provide an option in case there is a major problem with Lumin app caused by OS upgrades.
 
Because of the 2000 song limit I have been deleting albums that aren’t really rocking me. Now I am at 1941 songs, but at some point I will hit 2000 since I buy two albums every week from HDTracks.

Please fix this aberration. Maybe 10,000 songs is a better limit for playlists.
