Loudspeakercables (12x) Blindtest, measurements, music samples

Interesting that this a dealer/distributor for many of the brands tested. But, omitting a full loom on the signal path (Interconnects + Speaker Cables) is of course IMHO chasing one’s tail.

Would be curious if there will be part 2 with the same brand/level interconnect from the source to the speaker cable.

Alpha audio is not a dealer or distributor as far as I know, there are a few shops in Belgium with the same name.

You said a microphone cheap or not records the same way. What part of the camera would you say records the sound that accompanies the video?

I heard few samples in Alpha-Audio. I think "6. JvG M.L Reference" is close to original sound.

Mr. Audiophile Junkie (Youtube ID) recorded many rooms on audio shows with a same video machine. I can hear different sounds of each rooms through his videos.

Human ears are very biased. Ours ears hear a same sound differently and instantly when our brain is influenced any reason. Our ears become protective mode (become dull and insensitive) quickly when they hear bad or hurting sounds.

Microphone is the best way to hear an audio system. The microphone records always same way unlike human ears do. An audio system can sounds good to the owner but it can sounds bad to other people because the owner's ears are used (and adjusted) to his system. A microphone whether cheap or expensive will record same way always.

Same camera for each listen, it's consistent, what's your point? If the configuration was the same for each cable and a difference heard, then there's a difference.

+1. I am totally with your statement.
Even if the microphone on the camera is very low quality, we can still hear the sound difference between recordings.

Right. I agree with you.
I'm one of those who think that a video can actually give an idea of what a system worth. And no camera is going to make to sound good a system that plays badly. That's why I say the camera doesn't add anything. If it sounds good in video, the system should already be reasonably tuned.
But if there are those who don't hear (nor want to) hear differences in cables live, we can't expect them to detect it in videos.

As for the differences themselves, I don't even get into the discussion anymore. It's so obvious to me that it's not debatable. Cable do make (the) difference. And for a very logical basic reason: because the signal passes through them.
I said it before: to me there´s not possible a high end performance without good cables.
