Thank you Mike for inviting me to this forum, and thank you all for having me here.

I'm the Chief Designer and CEO of Genesis Advanced Technologies. I bought over the assets of the Arnie Nudell-founded Genesis Technologies in 2001 after the bank foreclosed on him. You'll better remember Arnie as one of the founders of Infinity and who designed the legendary IRS. When I started this journey, all I wanted for was a pair of Genesis Ones for myself.

Unfortunately, after hiring Arnie and investing a LOT of money into re-starting the company with a whole new crew based in Seattle, by 2006 when Arnie retired the company was nowhere near break-even. I tried hiring a professional loudspeaker designer, but none of them were willing to carry on with Arnie's legacy and wanted their own 'sound'.

So, I had to take over and design them myself. Now, after 20 years of practice, I may be just beginning to get there as the world renowned Arnie Nudell's successor. I designed a tribute to Arnie in 2022..... called the Genesis Tribute. Yeah, lame, but I thought appropriate.

Leveraging on the legacy and history of technologies developed since Arnie started Infinity in 1968, I designed the G7-series. An entry-level Genesis with trickle-down technology to burnish my credentials as a real loudspeaker designer.

In his review of the G7 Samba, reviewer Tom Lyle said "Chief designer Gary Koh surpassed all my expectations of what I expected from a loudspeaker at this price."

Other reviews of the G7-series were also quite complimentary

Today, August 1st, 2025 is the 23rd Anniversary of Genesis Advanced Technologies. With the ground-up design of the G7-Series, I'd like to declare myself a "Loudspeaker Designer".

Cheers
Gary

Welcome Gary! I have followed you and your speakers a little bit over the years. I think we may have even communicated back in the "black CD" days. Glad to have you here.

Those were interesting days. I still have people asking questions about Black CDs and many folks still using the techniques. My Yamaha burner died over 10 years ago, and I'm on the last of my Plextors.

Hello & welcome

Back in the late 80's and early 90's I worked in the business. Infinity was one of our main lines. I still have an Infinity racing jacket I won with spiff points. I bought Kappa &'s back then I used for years. Working in the biz didn't pay me much, LOL One of my first jobs so I was a bit naive and loved audio so much I wasn't even worried about the pay.
