looking for integrated upgrade for my SF Evolutions

I think arc ref 75 integrated would be hard to beat. I own simaudio 5.3 SE, and while it is built like a tank and is impeccable in function and form, I believe ARC and Vitus are in a different league.
I'm pretty sure ARC doesn't have an integrated in the Reference line. The Vsi75 is similar, but as mep and I discussed awhile ago there are some important differences between it and the Ref75 amp.

They don't have a ref integrated, yet.....

But by the end of the year this beauty will be available

Price is intriguing for all the features built in on this one. But the looks are meh IMO...at least compared to other ARC gears. Any more info on this Nelson? Other than the standard stuff available via google search.

Is it available in black? Shows someone could hear it/review it? Better time frame of availability? Comparison to other ARC gear sound? TIA

I believe it was shown in Munich; price is certainly way out of range for the OP. ;)

not to bore you with my enthusiasm for all things allnic these days, but i heard this t2000 and at 70wpc, i dont think there are too many speakers it cant drive and i heard it with similar rated monitors as the evos (86db/4ohm) and did a wonderful job and with the addition of kt150's it turned it into a beast, and i loved it. if i was in the market for push pull .this is what i would buy. $8900 msrp.

Steve, Ive never heard of Allnic. I need to look into that more. I do love the looks of it though! Even though Ive been a SS guy, I am more and more open to tubes for sure. Eventually I want to do high efficiency/SET bedroom system but need to get my main rig "finalized" LOL!

Damn, that Allnic stuff gives me a woody :panic:

Devialet 200 or if you want to stretch the budget the 400s. I have the 200 with my Magico S1s and I'm very happy with the pairing. Best remote I've seen too.

SP20 = LS27+PH6, IMO

GSI75= REF5SE+PH6+REF75 , IMO

GALILLEO SERIES only will be available in silver

In the following weeks I will be getting a pair of GSPRE & GS150

I'm dying to see them in person and hear the KT150 on them

keep you posted

I actually liked the review. Seemed spot on....and was honest re: the heat!

For emphasis, just my opinion:

He sold his LM for an ARC integrated after that over the top review where nothing in the world could be better. Thinks Cary is brittle with no 3D. Runs SET on a 86db speaker. Buys the ARC after just a few hours of having it. Um, ok. Says all you need to know about that guy.

He isn't a real reviewer and has much to learn about audio reviewing imo. He's just blogging about his "journey." His use of superlatives is outrageous. Unfortunate, the internet has given way to guys like this with little experience that isn't applicable to anybody.

KeithR

ps. his over the top reactions are due to the fact he doesn't know how to drive his speakers correctly

Buys the ARC after just a few hours of having it triple lol. Um, ok. Says all you need to know about that guy.

It is worth mentioning I do like reading his reviews individually, and it is far beyond my writing skills and descriptive abilities, but each one in succession being so vastly superior makes me leery of all reviews.

I think to be fair, Steve is writing a personal blog, not a review per say and most of the moves he has made have indeed been a step up. He's a consumer and he's excited. I get it. If you compare him in the same light as Fremer, Atkinson or others, well, of course he's not going to have the breadth of knowledge. Yes, he uses flowery terms, but I'm sure he's got quite the vocabulary from his photography reviews. Anyway, I've read worse and I've read better - but I take everything with a grain of salt.

One thing I will say about Steve is that he is very enthusiastic. Other than that, I'm not going to comment on his reviewing abilities.

I think Steve was pretty clear during the course of the review that no matter how much he loved the sound of the LM, in his environment the heat was becoming an issue. He lives in Arizona, so the fact that he had to finally give in to the personal discomfort in his environment over sound quality was not a suprise. I live in North Florida and I have several tube amps that I really prefer, but due to the heat they only get used in the Winter as like Steve I am not going to affect the rest of the house for one room. The guys posting all of the negative comments about Steve's reviews don't have in there profile where they live so your opinions of why he did what he did are not to me applicable. If you lived in the kind of heat that Steve, Mike, myself and others on this forum do you might understand Steve's position. And his reviews are no or more less profuse than Srajen or others on the Internet whose reviews get posted all the time to make a personal point.

Boulder 865. Great engineering and company. It can drive any speaker you have or change to in the future. I seriously considered the 865 before moving to Spectral seperate pre and amp. If I were to purchase and integrated amp today it would still be the 865. Good luck with your search.

Thanks dan31. I've always been intrigued by Boulder. They seem to make really high quality solid equipment. I will see if I can find a local dealer for audition.
