Looking for feedback

How about some boxer shorts that says "Thor's Hammer" on the front? :)

I literally LOL'ed here at Wilson Audio when I read this! I had to hurry and cover my mouth I was laughing so hard!!!!!

(adding to this) "Rear Ported" on the back? (they are not rear ported, but still made me giggle)

No doubt, to add to your collection Bob!!

You guys are awesome! I love getting all your ideas (both serious and silly). I knew I could count on you guys, and you pulled through for me. Feel free to give more ideas (look and feel, navigation of the store, etc.)

Debbie-Since you were so nice to me at RMAF 2013 and I came home with a stash of goodies thanks to you, I just wanted to make sure you remembered me. On a serious note, I was the first one to recommend the coffee mugs and travel cups.

We are getting close to adding High Resolution, photographic "posters" ("poster" just sounds cheap, and frankly they would not be really cheap to buy either). They would be the same ones we have here at Wilson Audio (just not framed and such). Here are a couple examples of them:

Also the coasters (I love them!). Want to add them ASAP.

The 3D models I have been really pushing, but it takes the 3D printer a day to do one, and then R&D can't use it for that day. They wouldn't be cheap, either.

On a serious note: All of these are great ideas, but it seems as though people who love the Wilson brand don't want to pay much for Wilson items (besides the speakers).

For example: I picked out the OGIO sports shirt. It is so comfortable (my dad's favorite now), and high quality. I didn't mark it up much at all - enough to cover our costs and such. I gasped when I saw the bill for the first samples we got, But I thought that people who value High End, High Quality audio equipment would appreciate high quality items in the store. The shirt is the highest clicked on item in the store, but very few sales.

Perhaps a "sports shirt" is not the type of thing audiophiles would wear? Too expensive? Should I look into less expensive polos and such? Thoughts?

Deb - I bought the sports shirt. Its nice, but fits funny. I wear the T-Shirt though. You may want to try Divots Sports (ask for Eddie Bass). They do all our golf shirts and they are very nice and don't break the bank. They have both men's and ladies and bunch of other things.

The coffee mug, Tervis Tumblers and a few other things are really nice too.

Debs,
A simple shirt with the WA logo
Is free publicity and if you can make some profit with the sale is a win win business .

Deb, once you have 3D printed up a model, i'm sure with the model some place could crank out lots of them, they need not be each 3D'd. Just think of all the plastic gizmos out there. You could have them filled with sand to give them the proper heft.

I think they'd be the coolest bookends, or conversation starters when folks come to visit who've haven't yet been invited to the music room. "... Oh those, let me show you what those are all about." Due to my wife's role, we do some entertaining here, and one of my great pleasures is watching the smile creep across someone's face who hasn't heard a great system before, or who has forgotten how much they enjoy music.

Given what folks like Audio Engine have done, I'd buy a scale model Alexia or Sasha to use as my computer desk top speaker. (OK, not likely a place Wilson wants to spend any R&D $$) I am one who really appreciates the 'not a big cardboard box' look of Wilson's designs. Harbeth, for all their good sound, just doesn't appeal to me design wise, same for just about all little desktop speakers--boxes or spheres abound.

Then don't call them posters, call them "Prints."

And charge 8x more.

Hi Deb,

Just purchased a white hat (love caps, wear them all the time). Loved the integration with Amazon cart, made it stupid easy.

Love a lot of the suggestions: mugs, coasters, bookends, etc. But I would definitely buy Thor's Hammer boxer shorts in a heartbeat!:P

WRT the Ogio shirt. Looks great, bet it feels great, but big logos in the back isn't my thing. But as Nelson suggested, a simple WA in the chest area would do the trick.

Nice start, look forward to seeing more merchandise online!

Thank you, guys! Really great suggestions and feedback from everyone!

Understand about the logos. I personally like the large logos, but of course that is my own taste. My favorite sweater is a Ferrari sweater, and there are large logos on that. I wear it proudly! But what I like and want obviously does not mean everyone else will like it. These things are for you guys, and I want to make sure the items we offer are things that many people would also be proud to wear.

I will look into the 3D concept a little more, and also mugs.

One thing I am in the middle of creating is covers for the speakers. Very light weight, soft dust covers. It feels similar to the covers my dad uses for his cars.

I am also looking into cleaning kits that would include various waxes, several polishing clothes, etc.)

The Thor's Hammer boxers I really DO think they would be big hitters. However, my parents are VERY conservative when it comes to silly jokes like this. But it is worth it to ask! :) They liked my idea of a baby onsie with something like "Future Audiophile" or "Rear Ported" or "Frequency Response down to 15 Hz" (doubt it will happen, but I think it's hilarious).

Feel free to continue to give feedback as you think of things. :)
