I am currently researching speakers as I plan on moving on from my Magnepan 1.6's in about a year. Unfortunately, the brands that I am looking at are not sold here in MN.

I have been doing some reading on Bryston Model A1 and 2, and the Middle T's. Has anyone heard these? Reviews are sparse but very good. They seem to be built well and are supposed to be neutral sounding. They are made by Axiom and even look like Axiom's which makes me a bit leery although I am sure the drivers and internals are different along with better cabinets.

Other speakers I will be looking at are PSB T3's, Sonus Faber Venere S and Dyn Audio's (which are sold here). I love the sound of Harbeth's but I don't want speakers on stands.

I do prefer a speaker that leans just a bit to the warmer side but I am willing to go with a very neutral speaker with softer high's and no sibilant tweeters.

I hope to get a chance to listen to all of these speakers as I travel around the country from time to time.

Larry,

Have you checked the posts in the Bryston forum?

Otherwise, hopefully James Tanner will chime in from Bryston.

Good luck with the search.

The feeling I would be buying a remanufactured Axiom was enough to make me pass. Bryston makes some great products, but this made me skeptical

They were pushed HARD on me by a dealer that runs an audio forum when I was looking for speakers. I wandered into a shop that had a pair of Kef reference 1s on display and my jaw dropped. Kef was on my list and the sound of those sealed the deal. The sound stage was so immersive I thought the center channel was playing in the HT set up. I bought a set of Reference 5s and the matching 4c center from him about 20 minutes later. It was a great decision. I love what I bought and didn’t look back.
