I will be taking these north in a few weeks and connecting them to my Strads. Call me a few years late to the 2301 - Strad party but at least I showed up! ;)

Craig.......You are going to love the MC2301 and Stradivari combination. True synergy between the amps and speakers. I'll be looking forward to reading your comments once it's set up and making sweet music.
 
Big congrats! Should be a match made in heaven with the Strads! Please give a full report when you have it hooked up.

Craig!! Nice!! 2301's are still some of the most engaging amps I've ever owned. They have a certain je ne sais quoi that makes them special. Have you begun to think about any tube rolling? Gold lions perhaps?
 
These Amps are used and came with a set of Goldlions installed that have some hours on them. I also have the OEM tubes and a pair of custom Sound Anchor stands for them. It is quite a load for the Explorer.
 
Man I remember when I put mine together, what a period of sleepless nights ahead for you ;), big congrats you lucky thing you.

I am so happy for you. I've mentioned it to you but these are the amps that made me fall in love with my Strads. YOU are killing me. :heart: Why I never got a pair is beyond my comprehension. I can not wait for your opinion and may take you up on a little visit once you are all set up.

Joe,
just let me know what dates would work and we will make it happen. You have listened to many amps I have never even heard of and I would value your your thoughts. If we do this soon, you can hear the Strads with mono MC275vi's, an MC452 and the 2301s. ;)

Great amps!

If you need a good, relatively inexpensive tube option - try the Valve Arts from tubeman.com...$160/quad.
 
Well they made it to PA and with the help of a good friend, are now singing in my audio room!

Wonderful 3D like sound. Even my .mp3 sources sound good!
