I think I've worn out that one

Well those fancy clocks can be expensive. Also it will likely kill any R2R under $20K
Would love to hear it. Unfortunately Ayre is poorly represented in Australia. It's a shame they didn't choose a worthy dealer here.

That would be great if it did. Sign me up!
But I doubt it --- unfortunately.![]()
Gotcha

Oh I'm sure, but I need to get another Lampizator first. I don't think there is anything else that can touch it.

Huh?
Maybe I mistook your R2R. Are you meaning tape?
No R-2R ladder DAC technology. Like MSB uses for example. I think the future is SDM. MSB has already taken R-2R technology to the max with the select DAC.

Ya, I been saying we gotta call resistor-to-resistor something different.....too confusing!
We shall see, we shall see. R2R was considered obsolete when MSB started using it a zillion years ago. To many, Dac chips have never reached there smoothness or musicality. I know you are as hot as an objectivist on WBF about these new 90138's but I remember similar R2R killers in the past that didn't pan out. I know, I know, this time its different. Like I said, we shall se.
Now that would go perfectly with my KX-5/20 and VX-5/20![]()

I hope they will show that baby in Munich, would love to get a first impression.
The only weakness is the off-the-shelve DAC chip, but that's only when compared with the best of the best.
