I’m not looking for anything to worry about. You are Mr. Doom & Gloom on AS which is why I was surprised that you didn’t start this thread.
Doom and Gloom? I've always considered myself more of a "realist" with an open mind to consider all variables and possibilities, until most are eliminated as noise and distraction from logic.
Not a big Star Trek fan but I would say that Spock, the Vulcan with his logic would be my favorite character. :|
My approach to audio over the three plus decades now has been the same. All angles and variables have been explored, from hardware to physiology and psychology until only a few of the important pieces of the audio puzzle have remained in place creating total sonic ZEN and harmony without the audio nervosa.
Getting back to the topic, there is so much space junk in orbit that is whizzing by at over 17,000 miles per hour, the lowest speed needed to remain in the constant "freefall" towards Earth we call "orbiting" that it will present more and more of a threat to both the equipment and human lives up there. There needs to be a clean up effort
The recent trip to the ISS was not exactly uneventful as the astranauts faced a threat of an "unidentified flying object" in their path that had not been predicted. Most likely "space junk" but they got their suits on just in case of impact. E=MC2 and at 17,000 miles per hour plus, the space junk is travelling waaay faster than a bullet from a gun.
