Pretty cool! Now take it to the drag strip and use it. :D

Maybe, if we had a decent 1/4 mile track around here. All we have locally is a ragged out 1/8 mile track packed full of rednecks with mud trucks. I'd probably have to come out your way to get to a decent track and crowd. What would really be cool is a 1 mile track!

Bring it on down to Gainesville Dragway, an excellent drag strip. http://www.gainesvilleraceway.com/

As for my current update, I've just been driving my car on the Map 1 tune. Hopefully, if the weather is good this weekend, I'll be pulling the front clip off of my Z and installing that intake. After that, it'll be driving around doing some data logging to send to the tuner along with a couple of 3rd gear WOT pulls. Once Map 1 is squared away, I'll drive it like that for a bit until again, hopefully I can get those Motordyne ART test pipes installed next week. Once that happens and a make a couple more logs in Map 1, we'll move to Map 2 and do all of the data logging again, then move on to Map 3. Each map with increased performance and features.

After all of that, I'll hunt me down some low mileage GT-R injectors, get them installed and have a forth map created for running E85! A cooler running engine and about 20 extra hp & torque at the wheels across the entire power band just for running E85!

In the meantime, here's a little clip of me showing how easy it is to switch between maps. If you'll notice, the 4th map isn't there yet. And that 8th one... Yeah, that's valet mode. Default parameters in valet mode is a max engine speed of 3000 rpm, max speed of 50 mph and max distance of 5 miles. I can have those changed to anything I want though.

Yup, 1999 Porsche 996 Cabriolet, 115,000 miles, but never over 250 k/h....or not much. On this day in California, the road signs said to turn off the A/C, but the Porsche handled the temperatures well with no engine heating issues. FYI, my first Porsche was a 356A in 1960....see, even old folks like good sound....LOL

Oh, Porsches are not dragsters....playing games like this results in rather significant costs in clutch replacement. more LOL
