Less Money, Mo' Music & Lots of Problems: A Look at the Music Biz

Very good article. From what I read, as long as there are digital recordings for sale, I'm happy. I go to classical concerts (you'll know when I'm there because I'm the chief "shusher" in the audience) and I have zero interest in going to any popular music concert, so I don't care what those ticket prices are. Besides, the crowds are unruly, nobody has any manners and many venues don't even have seats anymore.

If popular music dies, so what. I can still go to classical concerts and I have enough popular music recordings to last a lifetime.

With respect, allow me to observe that you, Gary, have embraced grumpiness with a resolve I find admirable.

Brian...thanks for the link. Looks like a great article. I will check it out in full this evening. Thanks

Sure thing Cyrill, I also need to read the complete article. I scanned it briefly before posting.

See, Linked-In is good for something :) I was actually quite surprised to have this come up in an email.

Some woman recently got her ass beat for shushing some people in a movie theater.

This reminds me of the story I told about the loud-mouthed woman when I said she really knew how to project her voice into a room. ;)
