I would be very interested in the Exogal room.
Have heard some good things about the Comet DAC with the Ion Power amp module.

Enjoy the show!

If you are in the Vandersteen room, would you please take a pic of the Sub 9's for me. Tell Richard that it's for Pete in CT, lol. Thanks so much. Looks like you are having a blast.

I'm not particularly a Vandy fan historically, but thought they were easily in the top 5 rooms I heard today. Best I've heard them. They were more dynamic than usual- maybe the subs?

Did you get to listen to the Tidals? Doug is a great guy who knows how to put a system together.

I did, and thought they sounded better than last year on full Lampi setup though he was hesitant to play my music which peeved me a bit while Diana Krall was on the Aurender (ugh) - he ended up liking it so much, he played the entire record :)

Subs and some updates possibly. Richard does that often and never talks about it. The subs smooth out the bass more than anything. They will obviously move more air too. He wasn't able to make a 9 speaker as the extra drivers and size of the cabinet took away from all the cool things the new Vandersteen's do, so he figured to do separate subs so you can 'swarm' them to smooth out any bass problems. Even my new Quatro's are more dynamic than I recall other Quatro's to be. Thanks for sharing. Did you get any pics of the subs? I've never been to a show, but need to go so I can put specific products on my 'go listen' to list. Thanks for sharing everything.

Yeah, I had to pass on this room for several reasons - lets just say the dealer and I don't gel. Sorry.

In general though, I hate timed demos.

I got to his house a year or so ago and he was awesome. We listened all afternoon and had fun. I have sent him a few folks who have purchased. I trust him with folks and I don't like many dealers I meet for many reasons. We listened to what was the 90K speakers and they sounded awesome. He showed me how the Shakti (or whatever they are called) sound tuning devices work. I was floored by the subtle changed, but they were for the best to my ears.

Yes, I'm a huge Vandy fan for the way they sound and are built, but I love other gear too. Lot's of good stuff.

Thanks Keith!

I would be interested in the Von Schweikert room if you get a chance to visit.

I'll be totally honest and say the "big" rooms had many more room issues than normal - and I've been to a lot of shows. Literally the YG/Audionet room couldn't play anything big and dynamic. VSA certainly had some issues and MBL I heard did as well.

I will return tomorrow and see what changed, if anything. It certainly had really impressive scale.
