Not sure how to go about troubleshooting this. Also not sure what caused it, but haven't used it in a while (>1 month) and have had a few power and network outages that could have affected it.

It has power (steady blue light), but does not show up in the Lumin app when trying to add a Music Library for my U1. Before I removed it as a library, it was showing up but as (Offline).

Turn everything back off all together in the network chain and then back on in order from the router forward one piece at a time. That usually recovers "lost" Lumin hardware.

Please unplug the power to L1, power off other Lumin devices and iPad. Power cycle the router and all access points and network switches. Wait for 5 minutes then power them back up.

I can’t believe the hoops some have to jump through to get their gear working. Simplicity succeeds, complexity fails. I will stay with the direct attached drive to my S1. :)

Bud

What he's going through is not all that uncommon with all the weather related power problems we have in Florida no matter how simple your streaming set up is. The effects of Michael caused grid issues all over the state.

I didn’t realize FL is still experiencing hurricane issues. Still, based on other posts, Lumin has issues with streaming, but works fine with a direct attached drive. Anyway, good luck. It could be something completely unrelated. I develop software for testing networks, and there is always something. :)

Ok thank you, will try that tonight. To clarify, the power outage were local/neighborhood problems, pretty unusual, and nothing to do with weather. Tampa Bay area really doesn't experience too much hurricane-related fallout. And yes, pretty much all networking equipment is subject to connectivity issues after power failures, requiring sequential restarts, etc, in many cases. Equipment that's resilient against this is less ubiquitous although it does exist in well designed gear.

Ok, disconnecting power, restarting the network switch and powering down the U1 worked. All good. Thanks all.
