Kondo Overture PM2i is at home

Hello folks,

An update about the Overture.
I am listening to it in the living room with the Rega RS10 speakers.
This amplifier is truly magical. I thought I knew these speakers very well since 8 years with them now. But the Kondo integrated turned them into divas.
They actually sound now like very refined high eff speakers. The life of the music is everywhere.
What an amplifier.... just incredible to hear.
Beats everything else I owned and listened to.
Listening pleasure seems unlimited. And always amazing. Discovering new emotions at each note playing.
Now I want an other one.

They use the shortest possible signal paths ( similar to Ayon ), large power supplies, EL34 tubes ( the favorite tube of many audiophiles ) and exceptional build quality. A very nice piece indeed. Will you tell us a bit more about the speakers?

we all know what is next - ONGAKU :celebrate008_2: you know you want to :D

The RS10 is a 3 way speaker, built around a planar wide range 10 cm driver. A super tweeter takes care of the extreme frequencies and the bass is produced by 2 woofers, a 13 and a 21 cm, via a vertical transmission line loading.
In november 2011, the RS10 was presented in Paris HiFi show and the Rega room demo which was about 200 square meters earned the best of show title by the general audience ( not hifi pro critics ).
The sound was supremely natural and lifelike, both on vinyl and cd.
Indeed, the room was the only one not only packed of people, but people staying often more than 1 hour to listen.
I bought them in february 2012 if I remember correctly.
They are not perfect and will not go as low as some big Wilson’s, JBL or Magico’s.
But their sound is awesome to me. Very natural, refined, transparent with lots of informations but only the informations that you can hear in the real live music.
The Overture is the best amp I ever heard on them. It makes them sing like a high eff speaker, but with supreme refinement.

Cheap price.
But first gen model. Not the PM2i.
Still a great price though.
