Kinki ex-m1 integrated amp

Congrats, the Kinki integrated looks great.

Funny bit in the manual about a power cord.

this says it all.

All I can say is that EX-M1 is STUPIDLY good. One of my friends who happens to be a journo got a loaner and this integrated is a monster.

Man, so far this thing is sounding like a potential giant-killer. Kudos to Kinki. I’m wondering how much farther the monos (and pre) will push the envelope. When are the mono’s expected to be released, also?

Question for the owners:

Does it support HT Bypass
Can you turn of the display (seems way to bright too me)

Have to agree with marvda1 on this one. Srajen got this one right just like with the Job 225 and the W4S STP-SE. This integrated is really good. From owning the Job 225 for several years and trying it with multiple speakers the Kinki is similar in sound profile but just "bigger" in terms of authority and grip.

Just poking in to say I will be using this amp with my JBLs I would be honoured to share how it sounds with you guys.

my review is up.

@marvda1

Hi Marvin,

I noticed you also reviewed the Maraschino amps in StereoMojo some time back. They both seems like great amps. I currently use the Nuforce STA200 and enjoy it a lot (Job225's little brother, and some say very similar sound signature to Kinki).

Could you give your opinion between the Kinki vs Maraschino? (Sound signature, imaging (depth vs width)).

I mostly listen to female vocals, jazz, and pop.

I hope this helps: I have a Kinki and a Nord Mark Ii. They have similar sound to my old ears but the Nord is even more detailed, with a superior soundstage.

Hi Samoyed.

Thanks for your reply. I'm a lurker in this forum, so I only check the threads once every few weeks.

You mean both Kinki and Nord MK2 are similar in sound signature? That's good to know.
How about accuracy and perception of sound stage depth?
