Kinki ex-m1 integrated amp

I took it out of the box Thursday afternoon and installed it in the office system in place of the hybrid Kora integrated and intend to let it play 24/7 for seven days before trying it in the Main system. So other than going in there periodically to do something or swap out the CD's haven't given it any dedicated listening time. The build quality along with the fit and finish seem to be first rate including the metal remote. With the Reynaud Twin Signatures it does seem to be coming along nicely.

Hey marvda1 I’ll have an ex m1 in house next week, your impressions helped convince me. Also I’ve bought from Alvin at vinshine before and know he’d only choose to offer the best and any purchase from him is a safe bet. Currently using a hattor active preamp with Burson v5 opamps and a Folsom tda7297 15 watt chipamp. The preamp sounds great but mine is an early version, kind of a prototype and it’s always falling apart so will be nice to have one box that does everything with no compromises

Welcome to the forum, thank you for joining.

Anyone have any more Kinki thoughts to share? I’m thinking about getting a little Kinki :)

Ha!

 I’m interested if it’s smooth and sweet without being aggressive.

My amp arrives Tuesday, anyone have a request for kinki photos? The back or underside maybe? ;). I can do a video of how fast/slow the volume changes in response to the remote. I find the tactile/human interface aspect of audio gear isn’t given enough discussion.. it can make or break how enjoyable a system is IMO

all pictures and videos welcomed.:woot:

Congratulations!

Would love a few Kinki photos :)

I’m sure it’ll be great. Please update as necessary, I’m tempted.

burn in update. in the beginning the highs seemed a little recessed, they have since moved more in line with the rest of the audio spectrum. talk about dynamic, I was in my listening chair while music was playing and surfing the net when all of a sudden a big drum hit comes along. I almost jumped out of my chair, head turning side to side trying to figure out what just happened!!!

300 hrs is a long way to go and I don't know how many hours I have put in, wish I had some type of timer.

the eagle has landed! and a day early. pics when I get home from work. Just gotta say this is one of the nicest consumer products i have ever unboxed. and the knobs are huge and PASS sized :) I'm on team silver now. gotta get silver stuff to match this, the new cornerstone of my setup :)

Congrats, mine is still "breaking-in" in the office set-up but I go in and listen to it a bit each day to see how it is progressing. Srajen just posted a very positive review of the Kinki DAC on 6moons and it looks to match the styling of the integrated.

you'll be up all night, if it's too loud don't forget the gain switch on the rear. patricia barber cafe blue, any keb mo.
be careful not to hurt your back, heavy beast.

this is making me rethink everything i own, kinki is coming out with 250 watt monoblocks at only 25% more than the ex-m1:yahoo1:

Ok I'm back from work, gonna go listen to it, thought you'd like to see it from all angles including the bottom! I think one of my rca cables is loose because the left channel is louder, I gotta go reseat all cables then start the burn in :) doh I don't have enough posts here yet to post pictures.. will find some threads to comment on so I can post them in a few minutes :P edit: oh wait the images did show up
