Kharma MSRP going up 10-20% depending on model on Jan 1.

Ouch!
I’ll stick with Magicos.
20%? That’s disappointing. As I noted in my CAF recap, the Kharmas wowed me like very few box speakers have. I was thinking of taking my time to evaluate them, particularly in comparison to the Martin Logan Expression 13A.
Midi’s are going from $94k to $105k, so ~10% in that case. I updated my OP to 10-20 range.

Ok, thanks. 10% would be significantly more palatable. Any idea when the official price list will be available?
Mike, what is the lead time to even get a Pair of Kharma's say DB7S or DB9S
Dealers have it now. Any particular model you are interested in?

You were smart and got in on the A3’s when they were $9995.
Magico has had a couple of price increases since.

Actually, I paid more than that. It’s been a while, but I contacted you when the A3s were at their entry price, which is probably what you are remembering. But I didn’t purchase them for like 2-3 or so months later. So, I paid more…
No matter, all audio equipment goes up in price. But 20% is criminal IMO, esp. when I can get Magico A5s or S series for less and IMO have better sound than the dB9-S (and they are ported and thus won’t work in my room). I’ve only heard the 9s at a friend’s home and they sounded great, but not worth the app. $7,500 (20%) price increase IMO. But they are gorgeous speakers and sound amazing.
Unfortunately I think the Kharma ship has already sailed for me. Super wacky dealer north of me and Mike being 700 miles away just doesn’t seem feasible. I am going to need to settle and hope a used pair comes up.

Tight knit industry, word travels fast. Hilarious. My posting is gonna get me in trouble.
It seems like there is a competition between the Mfg's to see who can reach the "price out" point first for the majority of their customers.
Perhaps a unique marketing strategy.
