Just bought one for use with my C2300 also. I thought I was happy/content with the McIntosh built-in. Finally found a stage that could rival the Mc for under $3000. I will miss the ability to change capacitance/resistance with the remote.

Having owned the C2300 and having reviewed the Manley Chinook, I suspect you will be very happy with your purchase.
