Ok, just for fun, here is the protocal. Just give artist name and number of albums like this: Artist - #
Do NOT count 12 inch singles, remix albums or compilations with various artists. No computer files or homemade mix tapes or discs. Just vinyl and CD only.
Go ahead and include: EPs, compilations of the same artist(s), you can count both vinyl and CD and cross between the two mediums, don't count CD copies of the same album. Count Double, Triple and box sets as one album.
Here's mine:
Tori Amos - 9
REM - 7
Smiths/Morrissey - 15
Talking Heads - 8
Toy Dolls - 8
U2 - 11
Petula Clark - 7
5th Dimension - 14 (one away from them all I think)
Jefferson Airplane - 17
Jethro Tull - 15
Led Zep - 6
Mamas & Papas - 17 (That's one away from all)
The Monkees - 7
Tom Petty - 8
The Who - 6
Neil Young -10
T-Bone Burnett - 7
Bob Dylan - 16
Stevie Ray Vaughn - 6
Buddy Rich - 8
The Byrds - 7
The Moody Blues - 9
Rush - 26 (yeah, who didn't see that coming)
YES - 18 (It just happened, I was only wanting Yessongs, now I can't stop myself)
2002 - 6
David/Diane Arkenstone - 26
Clannad - 8
Enya - 6
Karunesh - 6
Liquid Mind - 7
Loreena McKennitt - 7

Heavens no! Not with my memory! No I had to go and physically count. I have about 300+ vinyl records and 1000+ CDs and yes, I keep a database, I have to with those numbers and I'm not even close to what most folks have in their libraries.
