Joe has sold his TAD CR1's (finally). He is doing his home work, traveling, listening and asking questions. Let's give him a little hand.

What will Joe's next speakers be?

Check the poll questions on a computer. They don't show up on TapaTalk.

Wow! Can I play?

I do have Harbeth 40.1's coming in a few weeks but those will not be a final destination speaker. I don't plan on selling them so any other speaker will be in addition to the 40.1's and Cornwalls, which by the way are fabulous.

I do have to say that I miss my studio2 more than my TADs. The D3 are amazing speakers and I admit that I can't get enough of that 3D holographic effect. It's just incredible. I'm just afraid that the high frequencies might be a little sharp for my taste.

My vote is D3's the only other Speaker I have heard that best the Salon 2's

Don't chase the Raidhos for their 3D imaging alone. It can be equaled (or you can get awfully close) with proper gear, set-up and cabling. At least that's been my experience.

I'm excited to see what you do!

Seeing Joe's current line-up of gear plus his comment on adding the Harbeth's I voted the something else choice. Although I haven't spent much time listening to the Raidho's I am guessing they end up closer in overall presentation and accuracy to the Wilson's the Cornwall's , 40/1's or Strads. It looks like warmth is a priority versus accuracy as shown by the TAD's leaving.

Tidals, Vapors, LumenWhites, Voxativs, Onda Ligera, Mosiaic Audio (little known but reports are jaw dropping), AvantGarde, SoudKoas Wave 40, Stenheim new reference speakers, Boenicke, Spatial, Legacy Aerius, Rowen P10 with LMT tweeter, the top line Elacs with the JET tweeter, Living Voice, and of course the Goldmund Apologue (LoL).

Wow. That's quite a list Norman. I have some homework to do.

Jim,

I think you may be right. I could not get that emotional connection that I wanted with the TADs. They were too good in some respects.

That ought to keep him busy. :p

Sorry. You don't get a vote. You have no idea what Joe will do.
