I would love one. I love my Job INTegrated on my Avantgarde and would hope the more modern Telos 7 sounds better.


I need to send in my Job INTegrated for repair. I’m in the middle of an RMA now and hopefully I’ll be able to send it in to Goldmund soon.

What kind of service is available for Job gear owners nowadays?

Hi Nikhil,

I’m experiencing light popping noises through my speakers when the music is quiet and more recently, some audible distortion through the speakers too. I’ve never overdriven it and rotated along with my other gear so it’s not like it’s been used constantly.

I love the way it sounds on my Avantgarde.

I hope they let me send it in soon. Looks like it might be going back to Switzerland. Ugh.

Amazing what a value Job was and how much they charge for Goldmund. It was my understanding that back in the day the Job were literally manufactured side by side with the Goldmund. I read a review once where the gentleman reported that he was in the factory and saw Job and Goldmund units side by side on the assembly bench.

I really liked the Job 225 that I owned on two different occasions. Good solid amplifiers!

You’ve discovered my master plan. OMG that would be awesome. I have a preliminary estimate of $500 to repair. I don’t know if that’s a hard number. I have some free time in the next day or so and plan on shipping tomorrow or at least Thursday if at all possible.

I’m seriously looking forward to getting it back in my system. I truly miss it.

If they just swapped out the board for the Mk II one that took the Analog inputs out of the D/A conversion chain that would be a good start plus find out if the DAC module is failing

Don’t think I didn’t try. They feigned ignorance about me being able to get the Telos 7 through them. I don’t know if that was true but it was worth a try.

If you're on a budget and like Goldmund influenced equipment check out the NuForce STA200. I'm using one in my office system and it's quite good especially for the scratch.. :-)

OMG! It’s a wonderful amp and for $500 from Audio Advisor, an awesome deal. Other than excessive gain, I love it too.

I’m looking forward to finding out what’s wrong with it and getting it back in my system.
 
They do not look to be the same address as Joe sent it to though. Different postal codes. I am thinking maybe they had you send it to an outside service center, the service center would not handle or get involved with trade up.

I might suggest contacting Goldmund directly and ask about trading it in :).
