Jimi Hendrix Train

Berkeley on 30 May 1970 is my favorite version of Get my Heart back Together! Woodstock is also a good version. Now that I think about it the studio recording before the RAH appearances is another one!

Cranked HMTAC last night and again now. Tonight I’m listening to this off the Machine Gun album released a couple of years ago from the Fillmore East ‘69.

CPP, are you saying you were at Atlanta?

Hey Ultra I was at Atlanta, in both 1969 and 1970. We (6 of us) drove up in a van from Gainesviile. And its one interesting event like NO other except for maybe Woodstock which I did not go to.. I was 18 and loving it and freshman in college. Far out man !

Great story! Your only a handful of people I have come across that have seen him. Hope that brought back some nostalgia of that van ride and of course the show - sing on brother, play on drummer...

Well there was another time I saw him, July 1967 in Jacksonville Fl and Hendrix opened for , get this the Monkees. July 8, 1967. We had heard about Hendrix but had to see him and Jacksonville was close enough. After he played we left as all the little kids were hollering, Davy, Davy. Never forget that, but seeing Hendrix play Purple Haze was awesome.

Twice [emoji23]

That was an interesting matchup, if I remember correctly they did not finish that tour because Hendrix was extremely flamboyant in his show, and the audience was mainly teenage girls.

Micky Dolenz I think got along with him on that your.
