well dang!

it seems jeff's place -- jeff day's audio blog -- will be shutting down. i have been an avid reader and great fan of jeff's work for quite a few years. he is probably the whole reason i have pursued this hobby in the manner i have. i will miss the type work he undertook and shared on his site.

I don't think Jeff is shutting down the blog. Is he?
Looks like he faced some IT issues from which he seems to have recovered. Not completely though.

Absolutely agree on his generous contribution to the audio community.
His Western Electric / Duelund cable experiments have been an absolute game changer for me.
I hope that he continues to maintain his blog even if he decides to call it quits.

his announcement over the weekend was pretty definitive. however, i just now see that he updated the announcement at some point yesterday. he seems to have made some progress on the IT issues and might be able to continue -- fingers crossed.

in any event he said in the original announcement that he will continue to write for positive feedback.

i really like his vintage and diy projects which have also been a game changer, providing the inspiration from which i have built / am building my modest system.
 
great news! makes sense as jeff is a writer/contributor for PF

I infrequently saw reference to something Jeff was doing and visited his site. Didn't he do a blog with Stephan Harrell? My last visit was over the Western Electric wire reviews.
