Joe.......Here are the differences between your JBL 4312SE speakers and the JBL L100 Classic speakers.
The L100 Classic's dimensions are taller, wider, and deeper (25.5" H x 15.5" W x 13.75" D) than the 4312SE (23 1/2" x 14-1/4" x 12"). The cabinet finish of the L100 Classic is walnut veneer with a choice of three color options for the grill, whereas the 4312SE is black with a black cloth grill.
Both the L100 Classic and the 4312SE use JBL's 12" 1200FE woofer, but the midrange drivers and tweeters are different in each model. The L100 Classic uses the JT025Ti1 1-inch Titanium dome tweeter and the JM125PC 5-inch pure-pulp cone cast frame midrange driver. The JBL 4312SE uses the 054ALMg-1 1-inch Magnesium/Aluminum Alloy dome tweeter and the 105H-1 5-inch Polymer-coated Pure Pulp cone cast frame midrange driver. The JBL L100 Classic is a 4 ohm speaker. The JBL 4312SE is a 6 ohm speaker. The 4312SE speakers are made in mirrored pairs. The JBL L100 Classic speakers are not mirrored pairs. The L100 Classic and the 4312SE are two distinctly different speakers.

Dan,
Thank you so much. I placed an order today for the orange pair L100. Can't wait to hear them.
Joe.......Fantastic. The pair of L100's I bought in 1976 had the orange grills. I liked them. I kept the L100's for about 12 years until I bought the JBL 4312A speakers that I still own and use in my vintage system. I gave my L100's to my brother. He passed away nine years ago but his widow still has them.
Looking forward to your impression of the L100 Classic speakers. Don't forget how much we like photos. How long will you have to wait for delivery?
Dan,

I don’t know WHY I want them, I just do.
a.wayne.......I'll bet those eBay L100's sound like crap with their paper tweeters crush in and foam dampers removed from tweeters. I have seen that damage many times on L100's. I wouldn't give that seller $200 for that pair of speakers.
This is what a clean pair of L100's are suppose to look like.

Stands were about $300 retail extra. I didn't order them, besides those stands are too low for me.were the stands included or extra?
