So I was invited to give a lecture in Naples Florida and when I arrived there I realized how close I was to Bradenton. I had never met Mike before but we have communicated
a lot both on the Forum and over the phone. But I figured why not give Mike a call and see if I could drop by and look at his gear. Mike and his wife was very gracious. He offered to meet
me that night but we met the next morning after my second lecture. I was blown away. First I want to say Mike is not only bright and knowledgeable but extremely hospitable.

First we stopped in his living room. He showed me these speakers that were not encassed. They were crystal clear and very transparent. I do not remember the speakers name
(sorry my bad) (help me out Mike).

Next we proceded upstairs into a magnificent theater room. Immediately to the right of the door was the Kronos turntable with two platters spinning in opposite directions.
It was gorgeous. The tone arm suspends itself with a ball bearing and you can just lift it right off the table. The room was covered head to toe with diffusers and traps. At one end
were the Strads and in between he had his Pass amps. Aesthetically very beautiful. Mike had a little hand held that synced with his Dac. We started off with an artist I never heard
before (Mike will explain: the artist had autism and a grandmother with Alzheimer's and apparently produces 30+ songs a week). It was if the artist was 10 feet in front of me. Everything was
just right and crystal clear. Then we played Neil Young vinyl (Live at Massey Hall 1971), followed by Beethoven and then some rock. No matter what he threw at the Strads, they handled it.
Honestly it was one of the best audio experiences. Its hard to believe this is a hobby for Mike. I have never seen intellectual passion like this before.

Mike: I want to thank you publicly for such a great experience. I believe you are very close to Nirvana.

Bill it was a pleasure to meet you. I'm glad that you had a fun time. To answer your questions, the speakers you first heard were the Spatial Lumina Statements (with Luxman Class A amp/preamp). The handheld device I was using to switch between tracks on the Lumin was an iPad Air. The artist we listened to was Liz Longley.

Thank you again Bill for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day. My wife and I enjoyed meeting you. As you know, you're always welcome to come back anytime.

Bill - Thanks for sharing! Sound like a great time. I personally need to make it to Bradenton one of these days.

Thx!
