I can't remember how long it has been but I hooked up my Evos again. For the first half hour or so they were a little reserved, but now they sound wonderful again. I had forgotten how sweet they are to listen to. Vocals to die for and wonderful midrange. Sure the bass isn't like the studio2 or TADs but wonderful speakers. Makes you forget about the gear and just enjoy your favorite music.

Paul,

I think break in is close but probably more to go. I have to tell you my Job 225 on my SF Evos is a fantastic combination. Oh so musical, 3 dimensional and perfect voice. I can not believe it.

I don't know about the Evo. however my Elipsa took more than 5 months of playing ( may be about 600 hrs ) to come alive.

One day I will get the Job as well...but for now my journey for speakers is still continue...

Mark. I did like it but not good enough to replace the VA music though. I'm just not sold on aluminum enclosure or cabinets. I don't mind on gears but not on speakers. Just my honest opinion. :)

Bob.... Yes. I do....I was thinking and comparing with all other speakers ....but I kind of thinking that the VA the Music speakers are irreplaceable.

Well...at least at that price range :)

The synergy with McIntosh gears are excellent.

That person is me and I love The Music, been busy playing with setup as they are very sensitive to setup. i think I have them dialed now.
