Isoacoustics Gaia Speaker Isolation

I tried the Titans under my Wilson Alexx’s and lost all of the detail … put the stock Wilson diodes back on and all was good. Ended up installing the newer Wilson diodes and that was a meaningful upgrade. Not sure why the Titans sounded so bad in my setup. Is on carpet and tried with and without the carpet spikes. Didn’t work either way. My experience only.

George,

From the look of the Wilson Diodes, they would penetrate carpet and contact a hard surface. Is that the situation in your system? That is probably the difference. Titans float on carpet even with carpet spikes which do not penetrate to a hard surface. I had a similar experience with Sound Labs. I ended up using cheap spikes. I do like and use GAIAs with Magico over tile/concrete in my HT system.

I am very puzzled why IsoAcoustics made carpet cups with spikes that are obviously too short.

Maybe try a set of Stackaudio Auva100. They ship from the U.S. now so no duties.

I recently installed the Gaia III NEO 's under my DeVore Super NIne's and whoa, the difference was not subtle! Virtually every parameter has improved significantly and shows what the speakers are truly capable of. Speakers are on a suspended wood floor with a rug under one speaker. In addition to the vastly improved sonics, the feet also look much nicer than the stock spikes!

That's good to hear. I've been thinking of getting some of the Gaia Neos for my Fynes. The innovation of being able to adjust them when they're on the floor is appealing. My speakers are on a tile floor and there's always one or two spikes in the grout which is lower.
