My friend Bruce and I are getting similar and other messages depending on what's going on. I need to save more screenshots to show you guys.

I have never used Tidal without it attached to either Roon or Sooloos so that may be why I haven't come across it.

Joe: I get that message with MQA on Tidal AND I notice we have the same PS Audio DAC. I am "guessing" that it may be more the DAC programming software and, hopefully, they will update it in the near future.

Joe.......I access Tidal from two locations. On my desktop computer in my office I access Tidal and stream it via a Wirewoeld Platinum USB cable to a Wyred 4 Sound DAC2, then to my Sennheiser HDVA 600 headphone amplifier. No issues. In my studio system I access Tidal through my Aurender N10 music server and stream it via a Wireworld Platinum Starlight coaxial cable to the DAC in my Esoteric K-01X. Again, no issues.

I seem to have more issues via the recommended MConnect ControlHD app than any other way. I need to get my Roon setup again and see if that's an issue too. I've had some members ask if I've had trouble streaming Tidal. It seems to be a known bandwidth issue but I never really had a problem until now.

Never had that issue. Has anyone else noticed that the Tidal standalone app has a larger library than what is available when accessing music through Roon?

Yes, it does.

Hi Joe,

I too had issues with MConnect and gave up, it would constantly freeze, decided to wait for their update, plus the app was no where near Roon which is what I was using at the time.

I have noticed skipping the past few nights and a few nights weeks ago. Tidal into the Aurender N10 then into Direct Stream.

I bought a new modem (matches the 150 Mbps incoming speeds) placed it in the mechanical room (heating for air/water, phone, internet, switches) Also this where I have a MacMini to rip and download then copy to N10 and still have Roon stored acting as the Core.

Here is where I have a Ethernet line from the switch in the mechanical room to Apples Time Capsule, (Apples router and backup device), and from there into Aurender and other. I need to look at the the Apple specs but think they are not at par with my new modem and possibly could be interfering with data transmission.

I may pull that and find the right compatible multi port switch to put in as I have other needs in that area for Ethernet, Direct Stream, Memory, P10, Oppo, N10 and AV.

I guess I am writing all this saying look at how your gear connects, (modems, switches and wall) if - it may be the problem unless others on here know more or can discount what I am saying, in the end I am in the fish business and not IT, maybe for a reason :-)

I've seen this issue being mention all over the forums with people using all different types of streamers, DACs, software players, cable/internet providers, locations all over the US and it all comes back to one name, TIDAL.

Compelling statement

I have seen where several people have reported these issues. As for myself I don't remember ever having a dropout issue running Tidal through Roon or Sooloos.
