Check out the new Wharfedales



Looks familiar cabinet wise, just not quite as pretty. I bet they still sound good though.
 
It sort of has that "I got this antique from my Grandma's house" look.
 
They made speakers of that style in the 60's, the W series that are still very collectable. The Airdale has been around in various forms for many years using Alnico magnets.
 
Wharfedale has been around for a long time and I am sure they sound great. But man the edges look exactly like the vents Tannoy use on the Stirling Turnberry and Kensington.

Maybe my original post was a bit to harsh, I toned it down a bit.

I don't know who was first, but the Airdale cabinet is an octagon design which would account for the sharp edges. They are not imported to the US by the distributor at all. He is more interested in making money off of the Diamond series. The Airdales's sell for over $25,000 and if you want one you have to import it.
