Is Lumin APP Down?

It must have been a local internet issue, its now working. So sorry about the posting.

But, while I am add it, will the Lumin X1 play usb flash drives if the internet is down?
Mine would not.

You don’t need the internet but you do need to have your home network running so your phone/tablet can communicate with the Lumin

You don't need the internet to use Lumin for playback from USB storage drive.

You just need a WiFi router so that the local network works. If your internet was down, perhaps your router was down too causing problems.
 
Thank you for the replies. The router must have been down too. I did reset everything including the Lumin a couple of times. After about 45 minutes everything worked ok. But I still wonder if it was the Lumin, and if I will continue to have this issue.

If I were you I wouldn’t worry about the Lumin. I own three Lumins and they’ve been rock solid for many years.

I really do like the Lumin X1, fantastic sound quality!
I wonder why the rag mags don't give it more credit.

45 minutes of pulling your hair out? It only takes 5 minutes to reset but yes, you will, count on it re on your last sentence by my experience (limited, yeah) Lumin iOS app has been completly janky (I've never liked it, one bit as a partner to Tidal) the past few days here particulairly. (global russian hack?) Yes, I have never agreed to opions that its a great app. It is not. In fact, as much as I like my D2 (have to hard reset at least 10 times a year, whatever, okay) But the app pisses me off so much that I wonder where I'm going next. It's probaly me , no wait, iOS. I alread knw Mac sucks.

D2>A800>speakers. The D2 is wonderfu lforget the app. I use Tidal and Qobuz
 
I've used the Lumin everyday for the past three weeks without a bit of problem. You might want to look into your network being the problem and not the app.
 
Thanks, Jack. I'm sure you are right, and Lumin is right too. Its a trusted piece, but no fooling on the app. It need an overhaul, regard tidal, Qobuz. Managing playlists? Add to facvorite or custom playlist, create playlist?

Here's what the app needs. EQ settings. It need a desktop app more than anything

ps bonus since if you read this far: McCartney III. Once heck of an album!
 
Interesting. I never have any issues with the Lumin app on either the iPhone or iPad. I’m using it now on both devices.

Actually, I take that back. The iPhone stopped showing new albums added to the hard drive. It correctly shows the playlist, and whatever song is playing. It just won’t show all entries on the hard drive. The iPad works fine. This is on a playlist with 1958 songs, but it was around 1000 songs when the iPhone stopped showing new albums on the hard drive.
 
Okay. To be fair I am >< this close to abandong Mac since 1992. Can we all agree that mac is the problem. Core rot, iOS pffft. Airplay is strictly forbidden here - it shall not be used). Jailbraking iOS was the only hope. Sorry I would absolutely unplug an go local but Tidal is so good (for convenience anyway)

bonus Tidal has an Billie Eilish playlist. Pretty amazing (late to the party) The tonal presentaton she poots forth is pretty swell. off topic

yes I love my D2. Might do up next tier in Lumin family, Lumin not the weak link (hardware)
 
What Lumin, Auralic, Aurender or any of the streaming hardware manufacturers can do with their app in relation to Tidal or Qobuz is based on what is available to them with the two API's provided to them. Neither company makes all of the features available in their API that are in their desktop apps and I wouldn't look for them to do so anytime soon. The reason there is no Amazon HD available is that Amazon choses to release their API to their select group of "partners" and shows no inclination to go any further.
 
All thugs but its the best thing going (never tried amazon, no need). On topic Lumin is thee heart of my system. No Lumin no system. I'm a bit of a pscyho that once I get a cool box it stays. Viva la Lumin!

Double-tap works fine on the iPad and iPhone. However, you have to change it on each device. The setting DOES NOT update between OS/device being used.

Being lazy, I use single-tap.
