Is Audioshark the most civil audio forum out there?

I wasn't targeting any specific forum with my comment about objectivist's. I understand there's worse out there than ASR. I also have no issue with objective data as well. As I mentioned earlier, the problem comes when people who have no idea what the objective data even translates to subjectively, use it as a weapon rather than a tool. I've found that it's very rare that you will find real engineers on those types of forums because it's simply an insult to their intelligence intermingling with that crowd.

This AS and AN are better than most a few forms out their are mine fields have not been back to WTB in awhile is it still in melt down.

Real Engineers, you mean those with linear Supplies ........ :D

There's nothing wrong with linear supplies. But if engineered properly, there's nothing wrong with SMPS's either. The problem is when folks who don't have an intimate understanding of the technology, jump to conclusions based on the technology type. This is why there's no substitute for your ears. Your ears will tell you what's right for you. Even if they are lying to you, does it really matter if it's bringing you enjoyment? Isn't the point of this hobby to bring happiness into your life?

With all due respect to this forum and it's many decent residents; I'd simply like to point out that Mike's many disrespectful comments, such as the one quoted/bolded above, plus profanity, got him banned from ASR.

Mike, please don't use this platform to disrespect others afar.

ASR too? I thought it was Computer Audiophile and WBF that had implemented the ban

Re: Is Audioshark to most civil audio forum out there?

But how with ASR? I thought you were buddies with Amir. That must have been quite an effort to get banned then, must read

Everything was wiped off the record. But to condense it all down, I had them between a rock and a hard place because I was going to prove measurement results with a better machine than Amir owns. After that it all went downhill. They even started editing my posts replacing my words with different words, and when I called them out, the posts were deleted within a few seconds.

That's what happens when guys start measuring their machines

Anyways I would rather just move on. They are targeting a very narrow close minded crowd with their measurement data anyways. Any sales I've ever made from audio gear was due to how it sounded, not how it measured. Did I use measurement tools to build them? Sure I did, but I didn't expect my clients to really care about the results. If you're stone cold deaf you should find a different hobby IMO.

Blizzard's coming

Wow , you and Amir , nothing like engineering tolerance ... :D

For the record, the issue wasn't really with Amir, it was with his new subjectivist turned objectivist mod. He's a guy who has little wooden blocks under his speaker cables because it sounds better to his ears, yet tells me I must show measurement data if I want to talk about servers on the forum. However Amir's $2000 server build has no measured data to back it up, but that's perfectly okay.

Guys, if you want to continue this argument do so in PM's. I will not allow fighting that occurred on another forum to continue on this one.

Thank you.

I agree with Mark. Thank you Mark. Mike and others - keep your other forum garbage at the other forums. We have no interest in your dirty laundry.

I'm carefully monitoring those who have left a wake of destruction on other forums. You will NOT do that here.

Tigers never change their stripes. You can only pretend so long to be something other than what you really are.
