What to do ?
I sold this unit to an eBay buyer.
Everything was a smooth transaction
But on the weekend when the client open the box found out the PH3
Vandalized by US Customs. They open the PS and drilled 3 capacitors looking for drugs, I think.
They then close the box and send it to the client without a note to why they did this and where
To ask for a refund for the damage.

The clients are very good people , they not blaming me and I told them that I'm going
To contact ARC for the parts to send it to Him.

Let me try to upload the pictures so you can see

Customs flat out sucks.

They should legalize all drugs and regulate and sell them just like alcohol.

Problem solved.

US Customs are responsible; and should cover all financial costs plus full MSRP cost of the unit. ...There are no two ways around it!
...Also they should compensate (financially) extra money for their unfortunate action. ...To both the buyer and the seller.
-> It's called 'emotional compensation' for the aggravation through their irresponsible course of action.

* Both of you should sue them, if they don't want to comply, up to the law's full extent.
No need to hire a top lawyer, just get the book (law book).

Is there any proof this was done by Customs? If they are going to do this type of thing then they need to make it right. How much cocaine do they think can be hidden in some capacitors?

Obviously enough to make the unit sound good! ..... Just kidding, I'd get some advice from someone that really knows what they are talking about on this one, my guess is they may get away with it as in denial, part of the job, extenuating circumstances etc.

No,it was shipped from DR to USA

I really feel sorry for you. I have sold multiple items to the US (from cables to amp), but never had any problems. But then again - Poland is not exactly a country on the cocaine transit map.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the support.
I contacted Kalvin from ARC and he is sending me all the parts to my client.
Is too sad this happen but life goes on.

I have only one hypothesis :
Maybe the US Customs agent was a Shindo Fanatic and could take no more that ARC rules!!!

Sorry, just trying to make fun of what happened to me

:)

I wouldn't let them get away with it Nelson! ...They have to pay for their actions! ...It's not you who drilled holes in those caps, neither the buyer, it's them! It's only the US Custom agents who could open the box and drill holes like that inside the caps to look for cocaine! They sniffed, they didn't find any, they have to pay now for the damage!

If you let them get away with it it's like giving them carte blanche in destroying everything that is good (music here) in this world.
We have laws in America, and those laws apply equally to US Custom agents as well. ...They aren't judges from my latest knowledge.

* Call the US embassy, call the congressman, call the White House, ask to speak to Obama, get the news media.
--> You can find out who exactly did this; everything is recorded (time, and who was working at that time).

Ha!. Nelson, they were probably trying to smell the goodness.

Hello Nelson, I am sorry to say it, but I don't think there is any chance that you will get any satisfaction from customs. I don't believe anyone will take responsibility and it will be like hitting your head against a wall. I wish you good luck. Have you attempted to file an insurance claim? I think that would be the best route.

Bob, you are incorrigible.

But a Hit man is not a bad idea.
Any of you have experience in
Audio ,DJANGO STYLE ?

I'm curious what your carrier said about this? Did you put in an insurance claim??
Cause that's total BS . The carrier should know exactly what happened to it.
Best of luck. That really sucks !!

Takes me back 40 years. I shipped home my excess baggage when I was getting discharged and this included several envelopes of photos I had taken. Right through the middle of each package someone had drilled a small hole.
