For some reason, the last few days I have to log in every time I visit this forum. All other forums I visit work as expected. This is on my iPad Mini. My older full size iPad, and computer work correctly. Any ideas WTF is occurring here?

I have two iPads logged in all the time. Only time I need to provide a password is for some moderating duties. Otherwise not a problem.

Hi Bud, a guess would be that your Safari browser is clearing cookies/cached data each time you exit. Are you operating Safari in Private mode, perhaps?

I would check the Settings for the Chrome app to see if you notice anything that suggests clearing data or something similar. Sorry; I'm not familiar with running Chrome on an iPad.

Even if I am logged in on another tab, I still have to login if I try a different tab. This is FUBAR.

Man, that is weird, and I'm sure quite annoying. I think I remember having a similar issue between tabs a little while back. I can't remember how it was remediated.

And I see in your screenshot you are checking the "Remember Me" box...hmm.

Can you do a full shutdown and reboot? Close all the apps first by swiping up after double clicking the home button. Full shutdown then reboot. The last IOS update was a little wonky but nothing serious..

My ipad did the same thing somehow I go into private browsing, might not be your problem and this fixed https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8127482

from the link

If the tab bar is dark, then it sounds like you've enabled Private Browsing, in which cookies are not saved, etc. Tap the overlapping boxes icon in the upper right of the Safari screen, then tap on Private, which should have a white background, to turn the background black. Then tap Done, and you're back to normal.
